Mojo Grill wins KING OF THE WING for the second year!Monday February 27, 2012 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Marion County, FL (February 27, 2012): After months of mouth watering anticipation, chicken wing fans at the 6th Annual King of the Wing found out who has the best wings in town and the answer was King of the Wing, Rondo Fernandez, owner of Mojo Grill. As the 2007 and 2011King of the Wing, Rondo was more than happy to re-claim the throne. This year's event also featured a new category "Prince of Pizza", with Brooklyn Original Pizzeria taking top honors.
The MCBIA King of the Wing event has grown tremendously over the years and it is an important community outreach goal for the association. For several years, ARC of Marion has benefited from partial proceeds of the event. "We have a saying around the MCBIA that every man or woman owes a part of his or her time and money to the business or industry in which he is engaged. We believe that as a business, we owe our community our support." said Brad Nimmo, MCBIA President.
"This year, we were excited to have Wesley Wilcox, Assistant Supervisor of Elections and his staff set up their voting booths to collect the votes" said Troy Strawder, ARC Marion. Other winners include:

Side by side the restaurants were the ever popular Wingman Booths, occupied by some of the finest businesses in town. The Wingman Booth participants promote their partnered restaurants and in addition, they also have the opportunity to promote their own business. “We have been the wingman for Gator’s Dockside for 4 years and it has been a great way to easily promote our business and help them.” said Mary Lou Serna, Labor Ready.
With Restoration Specialists as the Nuclear Sponsor the event heated up quickly with excitement. To put out the fire, Bernie Little Distributing, Sullivan Cadillac, and Mike Scott Plumbing sponsored the ever popular beverage center.
Even the Queens of the Wing, Mary Lou Serna, Amber Hull, and Francine Johannesen danced a bit. Make no bones about it, the King of the Wing event is a great time and more importantly, it supports ARC Marion through the Hope Foundation.
Until next year, just wing it!
