Build Your Workforce Employment Partner Showcase

Employers, community members, and workforce partners are invited to attend the Build Your Workforce Employment Partner Showcase at Lowell Correctional Institution on May 21, 2026.

This no-cost event offers a firsthand look at Florida’s growing workforce pipeline through hands-on career training programs inside the facility. Each year, the Florida Department of Corrections releases more than 14,000 credentialed tradespeople back into the workforce, with training in areas such as culinary, masonry, environmental services, and other in-demand fields.

Attendees will have the opportunity to tour career training programs, meet skilled candidates preparing for reentry, and learn how local businesses can connect with job-ready talent.

A complimentary lunch and optional Reentry Simulator will follow from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM. This interactive experience is designed to highlight real-world reentry challenges and support informed hiring decisions.
